Meet the The Chiropractic People Team
Lori Degroff - Office Manager
Hello, my name is Lori Degroff, the Office Manager at The Chiropractic People. When I was four years old my family moved from my birthplace of Irving, Texas to Batavia and ever since I’ve been a resident of the tri-cities area. Currently I live in Batavia along with my loving husband of 10 years, Darren, his generous mother, Barb and our dog, Lacie. I have seven nieces and nephews who are the light of my life. I love being an aunt and spoiling each one of them.
I never knew much about chiropractic until just recently. Since becoming a patient of Dr. Nate, I have noticed a major improvement in my physical health. Prior to seeing Dr. Nate, I used to suffer from headaches on a regular basis. I am pleased to say that since my very first adjustment I’ve been headache free! I find that I am sleeping better, eating healthier and have a much better attitude towards life in general. Observing the harmful side effects that pharmaceuticals have had on my family members, I do not want to rely on medication to treat my physical pains. I look forward to my adjustments and appreciate how much better I feel afterwards.
Now, after joining The Chiropractic People team, my interest in chiropractic has turned into a full-time profession. I love helping people of all ages and get excited when they experience the many positive experiences and benefits that chiropractic care delivers. I am thrilled to be working with such a great group of co-workers and patients. I have already learned so much and feel like this is my calling. I wouldn’t be working here if I didn’t wholeheartedly believe in the benefits of chiropractic. I invite you and your family to come in and see how we can help!
Kathy Stedronsky, Chiropractic Assistant
Hello! My name is Kathy Stedronsky and I am honored to be the Chiropractic Assistant here at the office.
I have lived in Geneva for six years with my loving husband Brad and our three wonderful children; Hanna, Michael and Sara. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 11 years and I would not trade a moment of that time! Now that I am ready to get back into the work world, I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to share in the amazing life transformations that are happening at The Chiropractic People. I absolutely love what I have been trained to do and everyday my eyes are opened to the power of a healthy spine!
I am very happy to say that my family and I are on the road to enjoying "longer, healthier and happier lives" because of the commitment we have all made to chiropractic care. Almost two years ago I was driven to walk into Dr. Nate's office because I was suffering from constant headaches. I am now headache-free and have experienced so many other benefits that regular chiropractic adjustments offer. My whole family has committed to getting a chiropractic adjustment at least once a week. Since starting to see Dr. Nate my husband and three children have also gained some amazing health benefits; strong immune systems, restful sleep, and clearer mental focus are just a few. I am certain that we are enabling our nervous systems to function at 100% which allows us to live to our greatest health potential. What an incredible gift we have found!
I am so excited to be a part of this amazing team at The Chiropractic People, and I look forward welcoming you to the office so that you can see how chiropractic care may help you.
Aly Purcell - Community Relations Director
Hello! My name is Aly Purcell and I am the Community Relations Director for the office. I grew up in St. Charles, attended Rosary High School in Aurora, and graduated from Marquette University up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am extremely excited to have The Chiropractic People as my first job out of college. I couldn’t ask for better people to work with!
I started out as a patient of Dr. Nate’s the summer going into my junior year at Marquette. Even though I had always tried to lead a healthy lifestyle, I had unfortunately experienced various traumas that really did damage to my spine. Due to this, I suffered from horrible headaches daily, as well as constant fatigue. Ever since seeing Dr. Nate, I have been headache free! I sleep great every night and have even been able to drastically cut back on the amount of caffeine I drink. I have so much more energy and am feeling better than ever, all thanks to a healthy spine.
I never knew all of the wonderful benefits of chiropractic care until coming into this office. I am so happy that my job is to introduce others in the community to Dr. Nate and his staff. By doing so, I truly believe they can lead longer, healthier and happier lives.
Sherry Nelson – Massage Therapist

Hi, I’m Sherry Nelson, Massage Therapist for The Chiropractic People. I grew up in Rochelle, IL and now live in Malta, IL with my loving husband Kevin for the last 10 years. We have three beautiful girls. My only boys are my dogs Chance (American Bulldog) and Harry (Chocolate Lab). In my spare time I like to bake, go tubing, off-roading and my favorite – photography!
I have been in the health profession since 1998 as a nurse’s assistant. In 2005, my father passed away. One of the things that had bothered him was degenerative disc disease, so in 2006 I decided to start making a transition into massage. In 2007, I received my degree in Massage Therapy from Kishwaukee College.
Every person’s body is so different. I try to help each person as an individual, whether getting them back on the road to recovery or just more in tune with their body. I also enjoy giving people the option of being healthy without medication and surgery. In doing massage, I get to be creative and use my educational background and skills together.
I encourage you to take a moment to think of what life is like: stressful, no time for yourself, always rushed, working 40+ hours a week, or even having the full-time job of being a parent 24/7. Massage is something that we all need from time to time. You will not only benefit from the relaxation, but could in return decrease the medications that you take for blood pressure, stress, etc. Massage can help you on so many levels. I encourage you to set up an appointment and see for yourself!
