Introducing Geneva Chiropractor Dr. Nathan Conroy
I've always known I wanted to serve others. Originally, I was on my way to medical school. My grandfather was a medical doctor and I was born and raised under the "traditional" medical model. That's all my family and I knew. My last year of college, I had one of those life-changing conversations with a good friend of mine. He had also considered medical school, and as he inspired me, was inspired by someone to visit a chiropractic school. Immediately he enrolled and began classes. Following his recommendation, I visited a chiropractic school as well. I also enrolled immediately and began on a path that has continued to bless my life. Thank you Russ for inspiring me. Chiropractic just makes good sense. It's simple, it's easy and it has helped millions upon millions to experience happier and healthier lives without drugs and without surgery!
After graduation from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I began classes at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. I was immediately impressed with the curriculum that closely matched that of any medical school. The only fundamental difference was that in place of pharmacy classes were chiropractic adjusting classes. Instead of putting drugs and chemicals into the body and performing surgery to manage disease already present, chiropractic focuses on preventing disease in the first place. Of course, we'll help you eliminate your pain and suffering, however, the focus is to prevent it from ever happening again!
At The Chiropractic People we are dedicated to helping all individuals, their families and friends in this community. We strive to be up front and honest with each patient about their care recommendations, their finances and what expectations they should have. We commit to educate each patient so that they completely understand the state of their health and the amazing opportunities ahead of them. We encourage families to visit our office together; what's good enough for oneself should be good enough for their spouse and their children. I can't imagine my wife, my child and my family not getting regular chiropractic adjustments.
I have been practicing for about 10 years now, and loving it more everyday. Before The Chiropractic People, I practiced at a clinic in downtown Chicago. The suburbs started to look pretty good when we found out that my wife was pregnant with our first child, so we picked up and moved out this way.
I am married to a beautiful and incredible woman, my wife Tori. We had our first child, our little boy Sawyer, on July 12, 2007. The newest member of our family is baby Sebastian, who joined us unexpectedly at home on December 14, 2009. Both are healthy, happy little boys. Such a blessing in our life. When I am not in the office, I am spending time with my family. I also enjoy exercising at the local gym, sailing on Lake Michigan, playing my guitar, riding the beautiful bike trails in the area, reading a good book and watching foreign films with my wife. I love to cook, especially when I can get my hands on a good recipe and some fresh organic meat and vegetables!
Personally, I get adjusted at least once or twice a week. I am not in pain, I am not suffering from any disease and I do not use any medication. I get adjusted preventatively to ensure that my body is working at maximum performance. Not 50%, not 75%, not 90% - but 100%! It's nearly impossible to keep your spine in proper alignment with the challenges and stresses put on a body in today's day and age. Chiropractic care helps to balance the playing field. Research shows that the human body can live 80-120 years or more if everything is working properly. I intend to get as close to that as possible, and I am absolutely certain that without a healthy spine and fully functioning nervous system that this is nearly impossible. If I knew then what I know now, I would have have had my spine checked at a much earlier age.
Enough about me! How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take the your first step towards better health.
